The KVP 40 S&W and 10mm BCG is a feature packed solution for your Blow Back Carbine or Pistol. Our BCG is compatible with Glock style magazines. The carrier is constructed of US made 8620 steel, with a Nitride QPQ finish. The QPQ finish offers excellent wear and weather resistant properties that are superior to lower grade phosphate finishing processes. We’ve added a beefier firing pin retention spring to help lower the likely hood of firing pin breakage. The 40/10mm BCG’s feature the tried and true AR15 extractor system, which provides the needed power to pull even the stickiest PCC cartridges out.
***NOTE***
Many after market drop in triggers use modified hammers and can be temperamental in Blowback systems. For the most consistent results a mil-spec fire control group is recommended. However, in our testing, these aftermarket fire control groups should work in most circumstances: POF, Hiperfire EDT and 24 series, Geissele, Timney, Rock River, and Spikes.
.40S&W BCG Features:

I have tried other BCG’s & the most problematic BCG’s I had is the one from New Frontier Armory (NFA), just to be clear. I am not saying that NFA is not a great company, I am simply giving you my experience & that for me their BCG did not work.
When I built my AR-40 with the NFA-BCG it was nothing but cycling problems, it would not chamber the rounds & when it did, it will not go in to battery. It would also leave an indentation on the case that looked like a smiley face. I then I bought an adjustable buffer, started from 10oz & worked my way down to no weights, I changed the buffer spring (started with a Kaw Valley PCC XP Spring), installed an Ar-15 buffer & spring with spacer, changed the upper, changed the charging handle, changed the lower, tried every configuration until the fingers hurt.
I gave up & ordered the BCG from Kaw Valley, installed the XP spring & Kaw Valley 10oz buffer & done, had one failure to feed out of 200 rounds.

The bolt came clean, in good condition with no discernible defects or issues. I look forward to its use.
It will however be used in a manner outside of its intended desgin for wildcatting a carbine.

Was a little nervous building my first 10mm AR pistol…. I did a little bit of research, saw some people complaining about problems with their builds… BCG problems… buffer weight problems, buffer spring problems etc…. so I decided to keep it all in the same family and bought the Kaw Valley BCG, 10oz Buffer and PCC Buffer Spring. Threw all my ingredients together and 500 rounds later… not a single malfunction! Been running 180gr JHPs and 170gr Flat Nose FMJs. I’m a happy camper!

I just received it yesterday. Both parts look very good. Waiting for other parts to finish build. Because of the ranges being closed I can’t tell how it functions.
