An extra firing pin is a perfect addition for your range bag. If you are a recreational shooter, or a competitor in USPSA PCC Class shoots don’t let your range day or competition end early. We rarely have firing pins break in our 9mm BCG’s, but things can happen. Our customers demanded we offer backup firing pins….. We listened!

I had the first one fail at about 3500 rounds. I had an off-brand replacement, but the springs were awful. The pin is good value for the money, but the spring cannot be beat.

The firing pin broke on my 9mm carbine, and not being sure of which gen bolt I had, if it was a gen I or a gen II, I email kaw valley to try to id which I had, I got a very prompt reply from Ian Reel, he asked for a picture of my bolt and quickly identified it as a gen II, , I purchased two Spare KVP gen 2 9mm BCG firing pins and received them yesterday, the only thing is that Ian send me another two at no charge, you can bet that with service like this they have a returning satisfied customer and will recommend their products, I built two 9mm PCC carbines using their 9mm lightweight 16†barrels and their 9mm bolts, you can bet that the parts for my next carbine are going to come from Kaw Valley Precision, outstanding products and service!

If you are running a PPCO 9mm blowback 9mm carbine you need to have a reliable back up firing pin in your kit. Needless to say I have an original KVP firing pin in my carbine and a back up of equal quality. An old SWAT saying we use all the time: “Two is one. One is none.” Words to live by.

Just picked up for backup. Not that I anticipate needing it. The Kaw Valley gen 2 9mm bolt is by far the best PCC carrier I have. The machining is awesome and the coating holds up well. Cleaning is a snap as most carbon simply wipes off.
